Notification for the post of Director

 

National Institute of Banking Studies and Corporate Management (earlier known as NIBSTC) was set up under the aegis of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1972. Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, The Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. and The Nainital Bank Ltd. are at present its Member Banks. The Institute is engaged in providing quality training, consultancy and research in all fields of Banking, Finance, Marketing, Soft-skills, Managerial Effectiveness, etc. to the officials of Member Banks, Public Sector/Private Sector /Foreign Banks, PSU Undertakings and Corporates. The Institute, based in National Capital Region at Noida, has its own sprawling Campus with ultra modern class rooms, state-of-the-art Computer Lab, facilities for in-door/out-door games, an elaborate Library and residential facilities for trainees in well furnished hostel rooms.
 
NIBSCOM invites applications for the post of Director. The eligibility criteria and other terms & conditions for the appointment of Director, NIBSCOM are as under:-
 
A. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-
 
Educational Qualifications:-
A Post Graduate preferably MBA/other banking related fields such as Risk Management / IT/ Agriculture/ HR etc. or CA/CFA/CMA or equivalent.

 

Desirable Profile:-

The candidate should have 20 years of varied experience in Banking / Finance/ Administration/ HR/Training and should have a flair for teaching. Candidates working in elite teaching institutions at a very senior level will also qualify. 

 

Age Limit:-
Minimum Age as on date of advertisement:                     45 years
Maximum Age as on date of advertisement:                    63 years         

 

B. OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:-
 
Nature of Appointment:-   On Contractual basis.

 

Remuneration:- The compensation structure for the post of Director in the shape of Cost to the Company (with consolidated fixed salary of Rs.2.00 lacs p.m.) will be Rs.43.43 lacs per annum which includes other perquisites viz Car, Driver’s Salary, Petrol, Residence, phone as per entitlement of General Manager of Punjab National Bank, as on date. The Governing Board is the competent authority to make any changes.

Annual Increment: 5% of the consolidated fixed salary.

Leaves: Leave policy of the Director to be as per the Contractual employees of the Institute. Director shall be eligible to avail a total of 12 (twelve) Casual Leaves (one casual leave for each month of service) and 10 (ten) Sick Leaves during the calendar year against Medical Certificate. Any other types of leave, such as Privilege Leaves etc, are not available. Unutilized leaves shall lapse at the end of Calendar Year.
 
Period of Contractual Appointment:- Initially the term of appointment is for a period of three years, extendable/ renewable at the discretion of Governing Board by one year at a time till the age of 68 years or total tenure of 5 years which is earlier. However, a candidate if otherwise eligible is allowed to apply again.
 
Exit Clause:- The contract may be terminated by either of the parties by giving three months’ notice in writing or on payment of remuneration to the other in lieu of notice period.  

Roles and Responsibility of Director: 
The Director serves as the Chief Executive and Academic Head of the institute and is responsible for overall leadership, administration, business development, and achievement of the institute's objectives.  

Key Responsibilities 


1.    Strategic Leadership 

  • Formulate and implement the institute's vision, mission, and strategic plans. 

  • Position NIBSCOM as a leading capacity-building institution for the BFSI sector. 

  • Drive growth in training, consultancy, research, and knowledge-sharing activities.  

 

2.    Academic and Training Management 

  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of training programmes. 

  • Ensure relevance of programmes to evolving banking, risk management, HR, credit, compliance, and leadership needs.

  • Maintain quality standards in training and faculty development. 

 

3.    Administration and Governance 

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the institute. 

  • Ensure compliance with policies of the Governing Board and applicable regulations. 

  • Supervise administration, finance, infrastructure, and human resources.  

 

4.    Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Liaise with member banks, regulators, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. 

  • Build partnerships with banks, educational institutions, consultants, and industry experts. 

  • Represent NIBSCOM in industry forums and professional engagements.  

5.    Financial and Resource Management 

  • Prepare and monitor budgets. 

  • Ensure efficient utilization of institutional resources. 

  • Promote revenue generation through training, consultancy, and allied services.

 

6.    Quality and Institutional Development 

  • Maintain accreditation and quality standards. 

  • Promote innovation in learning methodologies. 

  • Encourage research, publications, seminars, conferences, and knowledge initiatives.  

 

7.    Human Resource Development 

  • Guide faculty and staff development. 

  • Foster a culture of professionalism, ethics, and continuous learning. 

  • Lead performance and capability-building initiatives within the institute.

  1. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. 

  2. Candidates appearing for interview from outside NCR of Delhi shall be reimbursed actual fare from shortest route upon production of tickets (maximum economy class airfare/AC Second Class train fare).

  3. The decision of the Competent Authority regarding short listing and selection of candidates shall be final.
